ABSTRACT
Have you considered carrier-grade radios for your studio-transmitter links? You can get two way 100 Mbps or better out today’s radios for a lot less money than you think, allowing you to get your media control and monitoring over a single link, often with “five nines” of dependability. Did you also know that you should make this change now or risk losing the opportunity to use the necessary spectrum?
Gary will discuss the relatively new means of wiring your station for IP Radio, whether radio or TV broadcast, FCC Pet 74 or part 101
Gary Stigall has over 35 years of experience in broadcast engineering, both from his work at radio and TV stations in Oregon and San Diego, and from his systems design work at respected integration houses, including Pacific Research and Engineering, Centro, SAIC, and TV Magic. He also currently serves on the SBE National Board of Directors.
